Get ready to bust out your flannel, neon jackets, ripped jeans and graphic tees because the 90’s are back.

Get ready to bust out your flannel, neon jackets, ripped jeans and graphic tees because the 90’s are back. Actually, those trends aren’t too far off from what some hipsters are wearing today, but anyway you get to travel back in time and relive your childhood memories as the Gin Blossoms take the stage at Capital Ale House Downtown Music Hall this Sunday.

That’s right, they’re taking it way back you remember them! If you need me to jog your memory a bit peep the videos below.

The Arizona rock band has come together to bring back all their hits for us. The group will play two acoustic performances at the music hall, one during the day and then another later on in the evening, according to Audrey Finney, Public Relations Manager for Capital Ale House Downtown.

“They’re broken up because its a liitle more intimate, {an} up close and personal experience,” she said.

The music hall will just be coming off their celebrations for Oktoberfest, which kicks off this Saturday, and the UCI Bike Race and Finney since it will be a fun way to end it.

“Their going to be our final party for that,” she said.

But of all the 90’s bands, why the Gin Blossoms? I just had to know.

“We work with a booking agent outside of us and she just thought theyd be a really good fit,” Finney said. “Its one of the biggest shows we’ve had here.”

According to Finney, the Gin Blossoms are excited to come to Richmond and she thinks booking the band is something many Richmonders are going to be eager to see.

“We’re definitely a city all about our roots and celebrating our past and stuff we grew up on, so i think that it could be really popular,” she said.

And the Gin Blossoms will be performing on Capital Ale House’s fancy new stage.

“We took a wall out and we’re extending the wall and the stage and it’s going to be about 6 feett longer, she said.” “We also improved our sound system so all in all I think it will sound really good in there.”

Capital Ale House started the upgrades this month and finished them up right just in time for the big bike race.

Finney said the restaurant and taphouse hopes to draw in bigger named bands and national acts with the renovated music hall.

“I think it’s going to help our opportunities a lot more; I think it was definitely time for an upgrade in general,” she said.

The matinee show starts at 4:30 pm, and the evening show kicks off at 7:30 pm. VIP table tickets with dinner and cocktail service went so quickly that they’re now sold out, but regular seated VIP for the show costs $50 and general admission standing for $40. You can buy tickets for Capital Ale House’s Gin Blossoms show on Sept. 27 here.
