The Listening Room Festival has extended the application period for artists to apply to win a tour of the southeastern U.S. and to showcase their music during the Spring 2016 festival.

Artists need two live videos and an up-to-date website to apply. Artist applications are now being accepted through July 30, 2015. Valloreo said applicants should be touring at least regionally to be considered for this opportunity and must provide their own transportation to/from and during the festival.

The festival, launched in 2012, is a live music event featuring over 100 intimate shows throughout the southeastern United States held in homes, offices and other spaces.

“The festival acts are independent touring artists, mostly solo artists and duos, however we had a 4-piece band in the 2015 festival,” said Deserie Valloreo, Festival Director.

Winners will be announced September 1, 2015.

Six winners will be selected for a Florida tour of paying gigs and a featured performance at the Showcase Finale on April 3, 2016, in St. Petersburg, the hub of Florida’s yearly Listening Room Festival.

Scheduled for March 29 – April 3, 2016, the weeklong event will feature a mix of performances including house concerts, office concerts, charity performances and more.
