For those of us who remember, Negative Gemini (AKA Lindsey French) used to kill house shows and alt venues in town a few years back.

But she made the jump to Brooklyn and signed on with 100% Electronica to help release her upcoming full-length record Body Work.

Her tracks are dreamy and poppy and amazing so we’re always down to give her props when she drops new tracks.

The first single, “You Never Knew,” broke the music-aggregator site Hype Machine’s top 50 tracks yesterday and has since made it’s way to number 44 on their charts.

Check it out below:

The track was featured on Gorrilla vs. Bear who had nothing but praise for the electronic musician.

“Expanding on the sounds French explored on her excellent Real Virtual Unison EP from earlier this year, moving new jam “You Never Knew”… has that lofty, next-level feeling of a special song destined to be her breakout hit,” wrote the blog.

Kudos French, your shit continues to be dope!

Opinion | Richmond, We Don’t Need Another Love Song

Music has always been a mirror. It tells us who we are, what we value, and, sometimes, what we’re too afraid to face. But if music is supposed to reflect the world around us, then what does it say that so much of today’s mainstream music says… nothing at all? Richmond...
