It’s a big week for local bands releasing high quality music videos.

It’s a big week for local bands releasing high quality music videos. We already wrote about Lucy Dacus’ new official release, but now we’ve got fellow local indie-favorites My Darling Fury‘s new video for their single “AOK.”

Check it out below:

Fresh off the release party for their new EP, Aches, “AOK” is the second song we’ve seen get a full-press digital release. The first track, “Satisfied,” has managed over 21K plays over on their Soundcloud page, and this new video, shot in the UK but edited and FXed by local creatives MadBox, is equally as impressive.

RVAMag’s Doug Nunnally spoke with MDF about the video ahead of the EP’s release last week. He was told the it is a visual way of explaining the melancholy reflected in the lyrics and, aesthetically, slides in perfectly with their EP and album artwork.

“Mad Box was incredible,” Matthews told Nunnally, “They took all this raw footage and made it tell this amazing story while also adding this amazing animation effects into it. We were just blown away by it.”

In addition to the Soundcloud success and the new EP and the new video, these dudes are also in a unique place to get their video featured on MTV’s college music video channel, MTVU – click through here and vote for their video (it’s your Richmond duty!)

Check out Nunnally’s full interview with MDF here and keep an eye out for future releases from these guys as we’ve been promised more visual accompaniment to this already incredible release.
