Luggage’s Sex Drugs & Rap Is Out Now!

by | Aug 21, 2012 | MUSIC

RVA’s Luggage, the hip hop tag team known as Ben FM and Oxen Johnson, took a break for a while after the release of their first album, Speak Easy Luggage. But they made a triumphant return to the local scene over a year ago now, taking things to a higher level than they’ve ever attained before with awesome video clips like “2 Up, 2 Down” and “Chemicals.” And now comes what it’s all been building up to–the release of Sex, Drugs, & Rap, the album the group has been working on for nearly two solid years now.

Back when we interviewed them last fall, they promised us a journey through the past decade in their shoes, and now you can hear it for yourself–16 new tunes, including the Breaking Bad-themed “Chemicals,” all available for only $8 on Bandcamp! The album cover slightly resembles that of Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite For Destruction, which fits nicely with our G’N’R themed interview layout (unfortunately not replicated in the article’s online version, though you can see it in PDF form HERE). Go listen and find out for yourself just what sort of destruction these guys can whip up!
