Another week, another round of metal press releases with bands we wish we could cover. Here’s some of the highlights:

Stockholm crust metal vets Victims are set to release their sixth studio album, Sirens, on April 15. In the mean time, check out their first single “Walls” below:

Fans of noise and metal should get super pumped with the upcoming release of Gensho, a new collab between the legendary noise outfit MERZBOW. They’ve teamed up with fellow Japanese noise-metal tyrants Boris to release this 4X vinyl release that’s sure to get your heart pumping.

Pre-order from and check out the first video release from the collab called “Vomitself” below:

Summer Cannibals, hailing from Portland, offer a more traditional entry into this week’s list of releases. Their new track, “Go Home,” harkens back to some solid metal sounds, though are admittedly more coherent compared to some of the other acts on our list.

Check out some additional nice words about these folks via Spin:

The band’s latest zooms in with a series of robust guitar chugs, sharpening its already metallic edge. “I’m not the one,” lead singer Jessica Boudreaux squalls before adding, “You can call if you want” and “Go home” in the same breath. Her tone may be acidic, but the brief relaxing of her resolve belies vulnerability beneath that tough exterior.

Listen to “Go Home” below, look for Full Of It on May 27, and pre-order it here.

I still don’t totally understand the “lyrics video” phenom, especially when it comes to metal songs, but The Convalescence (top image) have dropped such a video for their new release Poison Words, due out on April 1 via 3Thirteen Entertainment Group/eOne Music.

Maybe the “poison words” are from the lyrics video? Check it out below and scoop the new record here.
