Bizarre experimental noise duo Mutwawa released their limited cassette-only EP Necro Zulu late last year. It was originally scheduled to be released in a limited pressing of 100 copies, but they have decided to use the second batch of 50 cassettes for a new release that is almost ready to come out. Therefore, Necro Zulu is now out of print, and thus has been placed on the internet for free download. Mutwawa, a collaboration between Head Molt‘s Gary Stevens and Jason Hodges of Bermuda Triangles, The Amoeba Men, and Suppression, is a mysterious and creepy-sounding electronic project with a decidedly insectile feel. Expect horror movie inspired weirdness of an engaging sort. And keep an eye out for that new project they’ve been hinting about–it’s sure to be interesting.
