If the first three tracks off the People’s Blues of Richmond’s upcoming album Quit or Die didn’t convince you that their third studio album is a wild and crazy ride that you need to be on, than their latest definitely will.

If the first three tracks off the People’s Blues of Richmond’s upcoming album Quit or Die didn’t convince you that their third studio album is a wild and crazy ride that you need to be on, than their latest definitely will.

The RVA psychedelic blues rock trio have been steadily pushing out good tunes from their newest album, slated to drop on June 10 and the newest track, “I Understand”, which premiered on Afropunk today, fits the loud, raw and unapologetic tone of the album.

Many of the tracks are centered around the struggles and trials the band has gone through as well as battles with drug addiction. PBR released the title track, off the roller coaster that is Quit or Die in March via Consequence of Sound. In April, the band dropped the second track, “All the Things (I Couldn’t Say to You)” on Relix.

Earlier this month, the boys premiered “The House On Oregon Hill” on Verbicide, a song that pays tribute to where it all began for the band.

In the midst of their East Coast tour, the gang recently sat down with RVA Mag to share tour stories and talk about the new album. You can read that story here.

You can preorder your copy of Quit or Die here.
