Music festivals of all sizes, genres, and types have exploded regionally as well as nationally within the last decade.

Each year they’re bigger and crazier than the year before and have added extra little features and festivities to try and top their competitors. And while the big festivals are great, its the smaller, local festivals that we care about. Especially when our hometown bands are on the bill.

Richmond bands makeup most of this year’s lineup for Pasture Palooza, an annual music, arts and camping festival, now in its seventh year, held in Berryville, Virginia in July.

The Southern Belles
, The Trongone Band, The Congress, Dalton Dash, Jouwala Collective, Red Light Rodeo, South Hill Banks, and Reckless Island.

Other acts set to perfrom are Lord Nelson, Big Something, The Mantras, DC’s Moogatu, Dale and the Z Dubs, Litz, John Kadlecik Band, Toubab Krewe, Radford’s Matt Jones and the Bobs, Our Family Band, and Native Suns.

Pasture Palooza kicks off July 14-16 in Berryville. Tickets are $60-$70 for a two or three day pass.
