RVA punk band Friend or Foe premieres new single, ‘True’ on New Noise

RVA has long been known for its vast and diverse punk scene and I’m always stoked when I find a new one to get into.

We’ve covered local hardcore punk band Friend or Foe before, but I’m just recently digging into their music and finding out what their about.

The four member group, who started bursting our ear drums back in 2011, recently dropped a new single, “True” and premiered it on New Noise and it’s loud, raw, and energetic.

“True” is off Friend or Foe’s upcoming third record, Foe, a five-track NYHC-influenced EP which is due out Aug. 19th via Flatspot Records. The latest single features guest vocals from Jimmy Williams of NYC-based hardcore band Maximum Penalty.

The Maryland-based record label has also just released a two-song cassette featuring the lead single, “True” and “Invincible” which will not be on the EP.
