Somewhere between Johnny Cash and the shallow depth lys the incredible vocal stylings of RVA’s own Tim Barry.

Barry, who released Lost & Rootless last November, worked with Good Day RVA to make this video and continue the new RVA trend of having pregnant ladies in music videos.

Barry’s vocals and lyrics conjure up a very real version of Richmond in the listener’s mind. “The roots are pushing up the sidewalk here/ One at a time…” sings Barry, and its easy to imagine yourself walking through a fan alley-way, half drunk on PBR and old crow.

Check out the video below, which popped up yesterday on New Noise Magazine:

Barry’s heading out on a Southeastern tour in the spring – if you know any folks in the towns below, tell em to check him out when he comes through their way.
