“The song is pretty much a free for all,” said FAN RAN (who’s quickly becoming one of our favorite local producers) who just dropped a new track – “RVApeshit.”

You can hear the heart in the contributions from locals Due Justice and Sleaze, both earning praise on their own right.

FAN RAN produced the track, saying it was “on the minimalist side” because it lacks any hard drum tracks. “It’s just a dramatic 4 measures of music,” said RAN.

He was particularly pleased with how Sleaze and Due Justices rhymes turned out, calling them energized and hungry – the two rappers (part of Just Plain Sounds) are making impacts on this track for sure.

Check it out below:

There was no structure. We all just dropped 16 bar verses. The beat was produced by me and is on the minimalist side because it really has no hard drums on it. It’s just a dramatic 4 measures of music I chopped up and pieced back together on the drum machine. I think Due Justice’s and Sleaze’s parts are by far the stand outs on the song. They both sounded really energized and hungry. Due and Sleaze are part of Just Plain Sounds. They have been doing shows and projects for years.

Keep an eye out for FAN RAN’s next joint album with Profound79, Trophy Case, set to drop in in first quarter, 2015.
