Tonight at Gallery 5: Pontiak, Antlers, Arbouretum, Caltrop

Pontiak is, by far and large, one of my favorite bands of recent years. I was first introduced to them on vinyl by my former roommate and Crappy Indie Music blogger Eriq Nelson (who writes the Musical Etiquette series featured both on Crappy Indie and here on RVAMAG), although their sound is most certainly not crappy nor really “indie” as I usually hear it defined. They’re playing with locals Antlers and Chapel Hill’s Caltrop, in addition to touring partners Arbouretum. If you like rock and fucking roll, do not miss this show tonight.
