UK rockers Band Of Skulls will be hitting DC at the end of the month, and your friends at RVA Mag can get you into the show for free! They’ve got a totally brutal name (which rules), but don’t expect one-dimensional metal riffing from this trio. On their new album, Himalayan, released last month by Electric Blues Records, they bring in everything from garage-rock stomp and proto-metal stoner grooves to 90s alt-rock/post-shoegaze sounds. You can see the full spectrum on the two singles they’ve released from Himalayan thus far, “Asleep At The Wheel” and “Nightmares.” Check em out below:

Now Band Of Skulls is bringing their wide-ranging, creative, and–let’s not forget–totally rockin’ sound to the USA. They’ve previously toured with the formidable likes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Dead Weather–which should give you a solid idea of where they’re coming from. Now they’re headlining their very own US tour, and it’ll bring them to the 9:30 Club on April 28. You should be there!
