It was the eagle that came to me and told me of a secret treasure that is unparalleled and I needed to see. He perched right above your tree, I waited as you came sneaking in, thats when we caught a glimpse. The first shot from your eyes to mine brought me to my knees and had my heart skipping beats. Briskly weakened, thoughts ran wild speculating everything.
Day after day you returned to your tree, I had thought you were waiting for me. As you would fall in and out of sleep, I too would close my eyes and together we would be. It invites no rest for me, just raises my curiosity.
Huntsman your hounds have been long at sleep and rest. Left alone to finish your hunt. Drifting further from you beyond beckoning. You are all alone, as am I. Now nothing to run off my curiosity at its all time high . As sure as the sun will rise, I’ll hide within its blinding light right to your eyes.
As cautiously as I’ve been this whole time I will stand tall before you. Too close to shoot and pined against your tree, what will this be? I don’t want you in just my dreams. If nothing is to come of this, then it is time for me to let it be and leave you to dream. If that’s truly where you want to be or we could find secret treasure together.
Lastly Huntsman, you spend enough time dreaming in the woods and carving bow ties can you answer me this…if a tree falls in the forest and no one’s around to hear it, does it really make a noise?
