What can I say except I love a great visual presentation of a seemingly average event, and Sam Dixon‘s photo spread of a recent trip to Skateland on Hull street is just that.

What can I say except I love a great visual presentation of a seemingly average event, and Sam Dixon‘s photo spread of a recent trip to Skateland on Hull street is just that.

Here’s what Dixon had to say about his trip to the rink:

Made it out south of the river to Skateland with a few friends last night looking for a healthy dose of nostalgia. I remember spending A LOT of time growing up at the Skateland in Ashland which was apparently owned by the same company at one point in time but is now no longer. I was really hoping for a TMNT arcade game and some nice Bobby Brown jams to bring me back but alas neither made an appearance. Regardless, we all had a great time and I didn’t break any bones. Oh yeah it’s only $5 so you should head over with some friends and support a locally owned business!

Head on over to Dixon’s page to see the rest of the photos, but here are a few more to whet your whistle until then.

PS – Notice Iron Reagan/Municipal Waste front man Tony Foresta for bonus points
