OK, so I might be unbearably late on this one, since the new Iron Reagan video has been up for five days and already has 70,000 views on YouTube.
OK, so I might be unbearably late on this one, since the new Iron Reagan video has been up for five days and already has 70,000 views on YouTube. But just in case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the video for “Miserable Failure,” from the RVA thrash quintet’s second album, The Tyranny Of Will, which also came out last week. The video, which Iron Reagan singer Tony Foresta describes as a “flash mosh,” features the band showing up in all sorts of places where you would not normally expect to see a band playing and turning those places into spontaneous hardcore shows, complete with stagediving, singalongs, and all sorts of chaotic hijinks. The video, directed by Whitey McConnaughy, location-hops from coffee shops to record stores to what I’m pretty sure is Times Square before ending with a grocery cart wreck that looks painful but doesn’t seem to have caused any permanent damage, thank goodness. Speaking of the grocery store scene, keep an eye out for a cameo appearance from Red Fang, who appear to be in the midst of the memorable grocery shopping trip from their “Wires” video.
And don’t forget to grab a copy of The Tyranny Of Will if you haven’t already! This Relapse Records release is currently available on vinyl, cassette, CD, and digital download from Iron Reagan’s Bandcamp page. While you’re listening, go read our interview with Iron Reagan, from RVA Magazine issue #18, out now!
