Emerald Grippa’s Monochrome World

Emerald Grippa is an illustrator in Richmond, VA. Her work combines graphite, color pencils, and digital manipulation, but in the end, it’s all illustration. Are her works vain? I see elements of celebrity worked in (I’m pretty sure I’ve recognized some famous faces), and there’s an almost disturbing cleanliness to her work that seems imposed on the raw pencil drawings.
