The days are getting longer, the sun is warming up, and another RVA Summer is well underway!
All the while, RVA Magazine’s 10-year-anniversary rolls on, with our #21 Summer 2015 issue, with cover art by local artist Chris Visions, hitting the streets today.
We’ve got yet another great 10 year anniversary section, this time bringing you a look back at the past decade of Richmond’s cultural highlights through the unique lens RVA Magazine has always provided.
And speaking of local cultural highlights, 804/757 pop artist Marlon Diggs talks icons, bright colors, and if he’s more of a Milhouse or a Bart.
The folks over at Spoken Word RVA gave us some insight into their underground poetry collective, unafraid of addressing personal and social truths to local fans at venues around Manchester.
Our RVA on Tap section features a conversation with Sean-thomas Pumphrey, Co-owner of the Goochland-based brewery Lickinghole Creek as well as brief updates from one of RVA’s new soon-to-open breweries, 7 Hills Brewing, Starr Hill Brewing’s new branding and logo, and Champion Brewery‘s new canned options.
Finally we’ve got plenty of the locally-focused music coverage RVA Mag is known for.
This time around we’ll be speaking to rockers Sea Of Storms, rapper Dr. Millionaire, and funk-punks Toxic Moxie.
Check out the issue below, or pick it up at many of your favorite local retailers, breweries and small businesses.
