It’s well known that we love our craft beer here at RVA Mag.
We love it so much that we are willing to go through the grueling process of trying out the beers first to tell you all about them so you can go check them out for yourself. Yes, no need to thank us, we are very kind that way.
Recently, the staff here weighed in on Legend Brewery’s Hopfest and Maine Beer Company’s Peeper Ale.
Legend Hopfest is literally that. A festival of hops for your mouth. Fans of hops will not be disappointed Legend has brewed up just the beer for you. Its a strong IPA with a hoppy aroma and flavor that packs a punch. 6.5& ABV.
Check out the full description of the brew below:
“Legend Hopfest begins with a sturdy barley malt background including Munich and aromatic malts, as well as a few medium kilned malts producing a rich , deep orange colored beer. Step two, the hops; Hopfest sports a distinct pine/fruit aroma. Expect an intensely flavored brew, with hop flavor lasting throughout. There is a toasty, earthy background, adding a rich, malty dimension to the long finish. The end result is a full flavored IPA with a strong malt backbone and long satisfying hop finish.”
Maine Beer Company’s Peeper Ale is a hoppy American ale and a great summer beer. All were in favor of this tasty brew here at RVA Mag. It’s light, crisp, and very refreshing. Very clean and flavorful! It’s definitely a beer that you could pull out on a hot summer day at the river or by the pool and have more than just a few. This golden beer was first crafted in July 2009 by the brewery and is 5.5 % ABV. Good, easy, beer drinking.
