Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the attached photo and video who snatched a wallet last week.
At approximately 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, a female was pushing a grocery cart in the parking lot of the Kroger at the 3500 block of Cary St. when the male in the photo snatched her wallet from the cart. He fled on foot.
There were no injuries.

Later that same day, the suspect used a credit card from the wallet at a nearby convenience store. The attached image was captured by a camera in the convenience store.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He has dark hair and a neatly trimmed beard and mustache.
Detectives ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call Third Precinct Detective Heather Truong at (804) 646-1067 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
