What’s happening craft beer lovers of RVA?! Welcome to this week’s “Tapped,” RVA Magazine’s go to weekly craft beer column where you can find all your craft beer-related events, releases, festivals and all the booze news your little hearts desire.

Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what beer releases came out over Easter weekend.

With April Fools Day this Friday, we can bet some of you have a few tricks up your sleeves, but don’t forget to celebrate your victorious pranks on the gullible with a beer or two. We’ve got some pretty cool upcoming releases happening at local breweries so hold to your cups because we’re about to tap this thing.

Isley Brewing will release a special infusion on Friday! They’re taking their Mos Eisley Brown Ale and adding some blueberry.

On Saturday, April 2nd, Isley is celebrating National PB&J day with their Choosy Mother Peanut Butter Porter and Blueberry Plain Jane Blend. While you’re there, grab a PB&J from Stuffed Bunz RVA. ALso on Saturday, the brewery plans to release its Voodoo Lady Red Imperial IPA.

Ardent Craft Ales will release two easy drinking summer sippers this weekend. On Saturday head out to the brewery for the return of their Session India Pale Lager and the debut of “Lawnmower” American Ale.

Hardywood will release its popular imperial stout Foolery this Saturday. Aged for eight months in bourbon barrels, the stout has flavors of massive chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. At 1 pm tickets for purchase of Foolery will be distributed to the first 500 guests at the brewery. There is a 4 bottle limit per guest.

This Saturday, Lickinghole Creek in Goochland is releasing two awesome brews that look delicious! As a celebration for the glorious people, the brewery will do a bottle release of Supreme Leader & Great Commander. Supreme Leader is a 13.5% Bourbon Barrel Spiced Imperial Stout aged in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The Great Commander is rum barrel spiced imperial stout that clocks in 13.5% as well. The brewery will be serving from 12-8 pm.
