How about a hoopla? Well at least that’s what Devils Backbone Brewing Company is calling their new festival. And we like it. The Rosland, Va. brewery has just announced the music lineup for Hoopla, a new four-day celebration of beer and bands and activities at their 100 acre brewery Sept. 29-Oct. 2.
Hoopla will feature 15 bands, as well as several Hoopla Adventures, at their Basecamp Brewpub & Meadows at 200 Mosbys Run in Nelson County.
The bands are a mix of bluegrass, Americana, alt-country, and rock from national touring acts, as well as some of the region’s up and coming live bands.
RVA’s Trongone Band, the Adrian Duke Project, Jeremiah Tall, Old 97’s, Futurebirds, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, SUSTO, The Revivalists, Dylan Leblanc, Major & The Monbacks, Gold Top County Ramblers, Bryan Elijah Smith & The Wild Hearts and Rainbow Kitten Surprise will all be performing at Hoopla.
Activities are the other big part of Hoopla. In addition to bands and enjoying delicious brews from Devils, attendees can take part in beer tours, human Foosball, disc golf, a 5K run, cornhole tournaments, a craft market and hiking.

Tickets for Hoopla are now on sale and range from $90 to $110 for camping and the festival. And $60 and $70 for just the festival itself. Get yours here before prices go up.
