Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

We’ve got new beer releases, special events and more so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

This Saturday, Hardywood will release its Rye Whiskey Barrel Pumpkin. Pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar and rye whiskey notes make up this 10.5% brew.

Isley will kick off its Fall Funk Fest this Saturday. The fest will feature live music from The Royal We and Ya Boy’s Rhythm & Soul Revue, Food from The Savory Grain, and a pumpkin carving contest with help from Tom Leonard’s Farmers Market.

Steam Bell Beer Works will release The Steam Belle on Saturday, a 5.8% Belgian Ale fermented over tart cherries and toasted almonds. This beer was created in collaboration with One Belle Bakery. During the month of October, a portion of all proceeds from this beer will be donated to the VCU Massey Cancer Center for breast cancer research.

Strangeways Brewing will release its Rot in Hell Pumpkin Sour on Saturday. Will be available in bottles and on draft.

Lickinghole is throwing down big this weekend to celebrate their third anniversary. The Goochland brewery will release The Magnificent Pagan Beast, a whopping 17.5% bourbon barrel brew that’s been three years in the making. The pre-sell ticket guarantees your allocation and is only $10. A portion of the proceeds from this will be used to donate to the All. Here. Now. Campaign, which will help grow a fantastic local charity, the Goochland Free Clinic & Family Services. Bottles cost $25. There will be food vendors, live music and you can check out the link above for the lineup for their other brews.

Three Notch’d Brewing, which has locations in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, opened up their RVA Collab House in Scott’s Addition on Tuesday. Look for more on the that in an upcoming story on RVA Mag and in the meantime, go try some of their brews at 2930 W. Broad. St.

Kindred Spirit, Goochland’s newest brewery, launches trivia on Thursday. Go by and work your brain while you taste some brews.

This Friday Garden Grove will release “Natural Blonde Saison” – a collaboration ale brewed with organic ingredients. The brew features fresh wet Cascade hops harvested from Tricycle Gardens Urban Farm in Manchester and Garden Grove’s home-grown Columbus hops. Ellwood Thompson’s provided organic Papaya, Apricot, Peach, & Apple Juices. Organic barley and wheat provide the base.
