Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

We’ve got new beer releases, two anniversaries, special events and more so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

Fresh off their fifth anniverary, Hardywood will awaken the monster that is Frankenbier this Thursday. In partnership with RVA Mag, Hardywood created the official beer for Halloweek 2016. This year’s Bride is a marriage of our 2016 Farmhouse Pumpkin Ale & 2014 Jim Beam barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout! Get some before its thrown back into its dungeon.

On Saturday, Hardywood will release the highly-anticipated return of Trickery, a whopping 13.5% imperial milk stout aged in apple brandy barrels for 8 months.

Ardent Craft Ales will release Roggenbier on Saturday. This is a German-style rye-based beer which is mildly hopped. Prost!

Scott’s Addition is throwing down this Saturday with a Halloween Booze Crawl from 6 to 9 pm. Trick or treat is your finest Halloween garb to the following places: Ardent Craft Ales, Blue Bee Cider, Buskey Cider, Isley Brewing Company, Reservoir Distillery, Three Notch’d Brewing Company RVA Collab House, The Veil Brewing Co. to sip on their delicious brews. As an added bonus, pick up Booz Crawl cards at any of the locations and get three unique stamps from any of the participating alcohol producers, and be entered to win a $25 gift card individually for each location.

Lickinghole Creek will release a little treat for you all cake lovers this weekend. On Saturday the Goochland brewery will release its Bourbon Barrel Carrot Cake, an 11% imperial amber ale.

Midnight Brewery will release Red Rum on Saturday. The brew is their classic Rockville Red soaked in rum chips.

Garden Grove Brewing has two cool releases for you this week. They have a new brew, the “Hunt For Red Oktoberfest” – a little non-traditional take on the seasonal using English Ale yeast and British Malts. On Friday the brewery will release its collaboration beer with #TEDxRVAWomen. Following the main TEDxRVAWomen event at the Byrd Theatre and workshops throughout Carytown, Garden Grove Brewing Company will be hosting the after-party & special release from 3-5pm. While the event theme is “It’s About Time”, Garden Grove has brewed a unique ale called “It’s About Thyme”- highlighting local Lemon Thyme from Tricycle Garden’s Urban Farm in Manchester & Elderflowers.

This Saturday, Castleburg Brewery will release mOatmeal Stout, a Dark, rich and malty brew with hints of chocolate, coffee and fruit. Clocking in at only 5.5% ABV, it’s a smooth drinking beer for those cold days of winter.
