“We had some extra time in the studio yesterday and wanted to spread some Christmas cheer,” wrote the band in a facebook post announcing the track. “This one goes out to one of our heroes, the late, great Marc Bolan (the deacon of distortion). We decided to record this holiday jam in the vein of T-Rex.”
Sure enough, the track matches T-Rex in a delightful way – offering both throwback and holiday cheer. Check it out below:
“Be kind to one another. Take time to say you love the most important people in your life, casually say hello to strangers & exchange a smile in the cold, and most importantly – remember to stop your Christmas moanin’,” writes the band in keeping with the tracks name. “Wrap yourself in tinsel, bundle up by the tree with some hot cocoa, and pop this tune in your stereo. We hope you all have a very, very Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwaanza too!”
