RVA’s contributing writer Mark Craig headed out today for the Bruise Cruise, a four-day rock n’ roll extravaganza taking place over the next four days on a Carnival cruise ship, sailing from Miami to the Bahamas and back. All kinds of awesome bands will be on the cruise, including Black Lips, Surfer Blood, Vivian Girls, Thee Oh Sees, The Strange Boys, Ty Segall, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Turbo Fruits, Jacuzzi Boys, and DJ Mr. Jonathan Toubin. Of course, none of that helps us right now, since it sold out weeks ago and set sail earlier today. However, in order to give us all a taste of what we’re missing, Mark made us a mix featuring songs by quite a few of the artists that are on the cruise with him, plus snatches of interviews he conducted with the organizers, and some random segues that may or may not relate to the whole thing. Here it is:
