Brain Drain w/ Udachi

by | Apr 14, 2011 | MUSIC

UDACHI (Party Like Us / T&B) comes to Richmond from NYC for April’s edition of BRAIN DRAIN!

We’re super excited to have Party Like Us artist and one of New York’s underground bass heroes, Udachi, join us for Brain Drain! Riding a bullet out of hell on a path to nowhere, Udachi’s influence lies heavily in the psychedelic and manic aspect of dance music, his music can swing from heavy bass inferno drop’s to shuffly 2 step low end …stormers.

Udachi has remixed the likes of Audio Bullies, Flinch, AC Slater, and Rico Tubbs + his tracks have received heavy support from DJs like Crookers, AC Slater, Tommie Sunshine, Kissy SellOut, Franki Chan and more!

When he wasn’t busy touring this past year, Udachi managed to pump out over 12 releases between Party Like Us, Palms Out Sounds and Nightshifters. He already has two monstrous releases already under his belt this year! Udachi’s “Chemicals” track, released in February, was the first of a new series ‘Party Animals’ on Party Like Us Records. Along with that single, he recently released the Stumble EP.

WHO: Udachi & Audio Ammo
WHAT: Brain Drain w/ Udachi
WHEN: Saturday, April 16th 2011, 9PM, $7

Thundercat Has Entered the Chat

Next Saturday, October 17th, the weird, funky spaceship that carts Thundercat around will land in Richmond for his show at The National. As a massive fan, I will absolutely be there. His is the kind of unique sound that makes a concert a “happening.” A funk so deep...

My First Phish Show in 1994 to Photographing Them in Richmond

In 1994, while in NOVA for high school, a friend who had grown up in Vermont introduced me to a band named Phish around the release of their fifth album, Hoist, and I became obsessed. As a classical-metal-progressive rock music fan, I loved it. My first show was...
