SUNDAY: Sweetlife Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion

by | Apr 29, 2011 | MUSIC

If you’re up for a short drive north this Sunday, there’s going to be a pretty excellent one-day festival taking place at Merriweather Post Pavilion, featuring all kinds of awesome bands: The Strokes, Girl Talk, Lupe Fiasco, Crystal Castles, Cold War Kids, and a whole bunch more! Plus, it’s in support of a good cause: sweetgreen, a small Washington DC-based chain of restaurants devoted to serving healthy, locally grown organic food, have partnered up with the Jamie Oliver Foundation, an organization formed to fight obesity and promote dietary health through education. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to the foundation. But hey, even if you’re not too concerned with all that, the awesome bands are probably reason enough to make the trip, right? We think so!

WHAT: Sweetlife Festival 2011!
WHO: The Strokes, Girl Talk, Lupe Fiasco, Crystal Castles, Cold War Kids, Ra Ra Riot, Theophilus London, Walk The Moon, US Royalty, Modern Man
WHERE: Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia MD (Click here for directions)
WHEN: Sunday May 1, Doors open at 12 PM
ADMISSION: $55 general admission (click here for tickets)
