DAILY FIX: Mit Hamine Gets Harassed On WFMU

by | Jul 20, 2011 | MUSIC

WFMU is a free-form radio station in New Jersey with a strong web presence. It’s listened to by people all over the world. Perhaps that’s why Zach Caron of Richmond’s Mit Hamine decided to call in to Tom Scharpling’s Best Show On WFMU yesterday in an attempt to promote his band’s new record. The attempt backfired in spectacular fashion, resulting in five minutes of Tom mercilessly and hilariously harassing Zach about his choice of band name. Tom Scharpling is a well-respected comedian whose years of experience doing a radio show focused around the comedy of random phone calls, so Zach was probably in over his head, but nonetheless the entire call is a highly entertaining listen, and well worth your time–as is the entire show, really.

The call starts at about 59:30, so fastforward to that point if you don’t have time to listen to the full show. And hey, you should probably check out Mit Hamine‘s new record, too. Sounds like they really need the help.
