Richmond experimental musician Chino Amobi, aka Diamond Black Hearted Boy, released a new EP over the weekend entitled e. It’s available for free download from his Bandcamp page, and in conjunction with this release, he’s given us a video for “e10,” one of the longest tracks on the EP. Created using not much more than an empty room, a strobe light, and an Adidas tracksuit, the video’s hazy imagery nonetheless combines with the dark, foreboding music to create a subtly frightening atmosphere. It’s strange, but in a fascinating way, as those who’ve followed Diamond Black Hearted Boy’s career so far will no doubt have come to expect.
