Lifeview Marketing has teamed up with one of the most highly anticipated Hip-Hop concert tours of the past decade, The Weigh In Tour, starring the artist, DMX. The tour is scheduled to visit the historical National Theater, which is considered the city’s premium concert venue, in Richmond, Virginia on Tuesday, July 3rd. Performing the day before Independence Day, DMX is guaranteed to leave all of him on the stage once the concert is over. With three sold-out shows in New York, Detroit and Philadelphia, this tour has the momentum of making history, all for Richmond to experience.

DMX has been credited by several artists for single-handedly saving record company Def Jam from a consistent decline in record sales. His albums landed number one on Billboard, and he is the second rapper in history (following Tupac Shakur) to have released two albums which both debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 in the same year. DMX also made history as the only musical artist to release five consecutive albums (his entire album catalog at the time) that debuted at number one. His megastar status has landed him in blockbuster movies such as Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave, and others. He has worked on screen alongside Jet Li, Isaiah Washington, Steven Seagal, Tom Arnold, and others.

The National was chosen as the host venue for this tour due to the diverse makeup of patrons it attracts and the historical value it provides the city of Richmond. DMX’s success came from the support of a worldwide multi-cultural fan base. He attracts people from different ethnicities, and this diverse appeal matches the mission of the National. Blogs have all been buzzing about DMX’s forthcoming album, the recent shooting of the music video featuring Swizz Beats, and of course, the The Weigh In Tour. Do not miss this one-time tour visit at the National Theater on Tuesday, July 3rd.
