Honky-tonk masterminds The Vendors have just released a four-song EP recorded at Sound of Music Studios. With Bryan Walthall on the boards (and keys), The Lake is a breezy excursion in alt-country goodness. The first track, “Running Out,” may sound a little bit like Dylan’s “Wagon Wheel,” but the chord progression is the only similarity. Check out “Westward in the Wagons” for a funky country tune that works the pedal steel like a disco ball. Check out The Vendors this Saturday (12/1) at Winter Thunderland, the cold version of Schneckapalooza at the Garage Mahal. Message the band for details.
