Tobacco Company is proudly hosting an evening with Proverbial on Monday, New Year’s Eve. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – if I could rename Proverbial, I would definitely go with “Sauce Faucet,” because that is exactly what they represent. They are an outpouring of saucy funk energy, which I’m pretty sure is exactly what any given party animal considers as a qualifying factor when making plans for the dawn of the new year. It takes a degree of dedication to commit to a plan on New Year’s Eve; no one wants to be let down. So why not put your faith in a band that can handle the pressure – Richmond’s beloved Sauce Faucet, I mean Proverbial. They’ll take good care of you. I know a good engineer, and if Tobacco Company will let me, I’m going to help create a giant hose to spray the crowd with… some kind of sauce-increasing agent. Unfortunately, that will probably (definitely) not happen, but we’ll be there having a blast anyways.
