Attention soccer(football) fans, the RVA Football Club is hosting its first and only 2014 open tryouts this weekend.

RVA Football is the Current National Premiere Soccer League champions (NPSL), as well as the NPSL South Region Champions & NPSL Mid-Atlantic Conference Champions. Here’s your chance to get in on the glory!

All players statewide seeking the opportunity to play for RVA FC will now have easier accessibility to team tryouts and training. For this upcoming season, RVA FC has chosen the centralized location of Fredericksburg, Va to welcome the top young players located in Richmond and areas abroad, looking to compete in a professional level environment without losing NCAA eligibility.

Although there are no age limitations or requirements to become a member of RVA FC, RVA FC staff is searching for players able to compete with top high school, collegiate, and adult level players. NPSL or Reserve Teams may range from high school freshmen to collegiate level, all the way thru adult-aged players.

NPSL 2014 Season: May 1 – Aug 3, 2014 (Training Daily)

Reserve Team 2014 Season: May – Aug, 2014 (Training minimum 3 Days per week)

Also, Reserve Team Members will have the ability to be moved up to NPSL team training, as well as, rostered for competitions throughout the course of the summer.

Overview

RVA FC NPSL / RESERVE TEAM will be hosting Open Tryouts for the 2014 National Premier Soccer League and RVA FC Reserve League Seasons.

The registration cost for tryouts is $50 (Non refundable). In addition to the tryout fee, all participants are responsible for airfare, hotel, food and/ or transportation if needed. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to each tryout.

The RVA FC NPSL / Reserve Team Player Combine will feature a 2 day guaranteed tryout session. A third tryout session will be by invitation only, giving selected players the opportunity be selected for the RVA FC NPSL “First Team” or RVA FC “Reserve Team” Rosters.

The National Premier Soccer League(NPSL) is the top Semi Professional / Minor operating league in the United States. Sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation(USSF), the NPSL is considered the 4th tier of professional soccer within the United States behind Major League Soccer(MLS). The NPSL offers the highest level of soccer competition available in the United Sates without forfeiting a player’s amateur status. Players who compete within the NPSL are also able to play on their college soccer teams. 80% of players who sign with Major League Soccer(MLS) clubs (Ex. D.C. United, LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls) have competed at the NPSL, USSF tier 4 level.
