$4.2 Million Hunting Lodge Up for Sale a Stones Throw from Carytown

by | Jan 3, 2014 | POLITICS

Well, I always wanted a hunting lodge house a few blocks from Carytown (5501 Cary St.) and now I can finally have one. All I need is about $4 million and a go-kart to drive around inside.

Well, I always wanted a hunting lodge house a few blocks from Carytown (5501 Cary St.) and now I can finally have one. All I need is about $4 million and a go-kart to drive around inside.

Here’s some more details about the property via Realtor.com:

This English Country Tudor is an impressive Virginia Landmark. Built in the 1800’s as a hunting lodge, Windemere has been exquisitely renovated … with every possible amenity and computer automated mechanical systems. Privately sited on 2+ acres amidst sweeping lawns and exquisite Gillette gardens. This majestic estate is an architectural masterpiece of over 10,000 square feet in the heart of Richmond’s West End.

Jesus, “Windmere” – satisfying yet another life long goal of owning a house with a more prestigious name than my dog. (My dogs name is Buddy, so I guess that wont be hard.)

Here’s some more photos form the listing.

The Kitchen:

Think of the incredible amount of food I could cook and then throw out because I’m not a fan of leftovers!

The Dining Room:

If only I had enough (any) friends to fill this incredibly luxurious space!

The Music Room:

Yes, it has it’s own music room. This will be great for my shitty band to practice power-cord driven punk rock. At least there are no neighbors close enough to complain about the noise.

The Pool:

Wait, just kidding. There’s no pool. Screw this place, If I’m dropping $4+ million on a property It better have a pool that I can not use and have to spend a lot on maintaining.
