by | Jun 20, 2017 | RICHMOND NEWS

Oh man, this is a bummer and still developing, but a longtime resident of Strawberry St. is closing its doors.

Check out more from Video Fan’s facebook (unfortunately URL’d “https://www.facebook.com/videofanforever/”:

Yes, it appears after years crowd funding campaigns, Video Fan is going the way of Blockbuster and shutting down.

Back in 2014 the business went public about its woes with a lively and funded Kickstarter that yielded this incredible video that now only brings tears.

What’s your favorite Video Fan memory?

The 31-year-old video rental store, and employer of fan rats for generations, achieved non-profit status in Dec. 2015. Check out our own Video Fan memories here from one of their fundraisers; and shout out to them for letting us set them up with the Devil last Halloween.

We’ve reached out to Video Fan for comment and will update when we learn more.
