Tapped: Final Gravity’s 69 Superbird DIPA, Hardywood’s Cuvée Peach, & Castleburg’s One Year Anniversary

What’s happening craft beer lovers of RVA?! Welcome to this week’s “Tapped,” RVA Magazine’s go to weekly craft beer column where you can find all your craft beer-related events, releases, festivals and all the booze news your little hearts desire.

Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

So 2017 started off pretty crazy and it seems it’s just getting crazier by the day, but one thing you can count on is RVA Mag will always have the scoop on where you can go to get the finest craft beer in town! This week we have new beer releases, events, and other cool happenings around town, so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

Final Gravity will release its ’69 Double IPA this Friday. Azacca, El Dorado, and Citra fuel this amped up 8% IPA for all the juice

Hardywood will release its Cuvée Peach brew, a white wine barrel aged peach tripel ale on Saturday.

Scott’s Adddition’s Castleburg Brewery will celebrate its one year anniversary on Saturday. FREE Entry. Anniversary Beer Release: The Queen’s Garde, a French Farmhouse Ale. Flight Risk from 2-5pm, The Killer B’s RVA from 7-10pm, RVA New York Style Food Truck 2-8pm, 10 Beers on tap.

Tonight Strangeways Brewing is teaming up with Canine Adventure to host a Yappy Hour to help clar the RACC shelter tonight from 6 to 9 pm. Go check out some adoptable pups grab a beer too because 10% of ALL SALES from 6pm-close will go directly to RACCF.

This Friday, Triple Crossing will release their Double Dry Hopped Clever IPA in cans at their Fulton location.

Isley is back this Friday with their weekly infusion, this time with a Mango Smoothie version of their American-Style IPA, “Green With En-V”.

On Thursday, Ardent Craft Ales will host a beer dinner serving 8 samples of Ardent’s best beers and flagship beers along with a four-course meal specially paired by their Chef Rhian Pryor. Tickets are $55 per person or $95 per couple.

On Sunday, Ardent will host a burger pop up featuring Lucy’s restaurant. They will serve three different burgers: Steakhouse, Nutty blue & bacon, and Traditional. 1-6pm.

Three Notch’d Brewery RVA Collab House is back this Thursday with their weekly collaboration. This time, its Passion For A Cure gose with passionfrui and mango. The beer was made in partnership with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The 5th annual Summer Moon Music Festival kicks off this weekend at Center of the Universe. This two day long festival features 13 local bands who will be battling it out for their charity of choice. To accompany the bands, there will be several food trucks on site. 3 different draft beer stations will be set up, so you won’t have to worry about lines to get a delicious cold one. Garden Grove Brewing Company will release its SOPHIA SPARKLER, a 6.2% Sparkling Honey Wine accented with fruit and flowers, made with Orange Blossom Honey and fermented in Wine Barrels.
