RIP Grumpy Cat: Our Memetastic Hearts Will Forever Belong To You

by | May 17, 2019 | WTF?!

Today we celebrate the life of Grumpy Cat — gone too soon from the world, but not from our hearts — with a selection of our favorite Grumpy Cat memes.

Today we learned that Grumpy Cat has passed away at the relatively young age (even for cats) of 7. The most famous cat around the world leaves a grumpy legacy like no other. And as her family shares her passing, we mourn along with them.

“Besides being our baby and a cherished member of the family, Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world — even when times were tough,” the forever-frowning feline’s human family stated on Twitter.

The famous look of contempt, the frown that became known around the world as an expression of grumpy thoughts, has left us. But the truth is, there is a bit of Grumpy Cat in us all. And Grumpy Cat would hate that as well.

Grumpy Cat may be gone from this physical world, but she will forever live on in our cold black hearts. We will now honor Grumpy Cat’s legacy with our favorite Grumpy Cat memes… which she would be sure to hate, if she were still here.

Thanks for the hate, kitty — rest easy.
