Win Tickets to see The Dismemberment Plan at the 9:30 Club!

Ladies and gentlemen, the Dismemberment Plan. They were one of the most influential bands of the late 90s indie rock scene. They fell apart as the decade turned, only to come back together with a series of jubilant reunion shows followed by a brand new album in 2013. And at this point, they’re showing no signs of going anywhere.

They’ve recently reissued their 2001 album Change, the final album released before their breakup, making it available on vinyl for the first time ever through current label Partisan Records. Emergency & I is the album that’s always been regarded as the D-Plan’s masterpiece, but the darker, more depressive Change has a lot of merits of its own, as can be seen on one of its best tracks, “Time Bomb”:

The Dismemberment Plan will be celebrating Change‘s reissue with a Thanksgiving-weekend show at DC’s 9:30 Club, and you’re going to want to be there! They’ll be accompanied by a set from DC punks Priests, who made a big impression on 2014 Fall Line Fest attendees with their set at Gallery 5, and have been killing it all over the country this year, touring in support of their new album, Bodies And Control And Money And Power. If you haven’t caught them live yet, you need to head up to the 9:30 Club early and make sure you see their set at this show.
