VMFA unveiling!

by | Apr 23, 2010 | ART

The good people at RVA Art Blog attended the unveiling of the new, redesigned, larger, it-slices-it-dices Virginia Museum of the Fine Arts. The red carpet officially rolls out next weekend, but we’re glad that RVA Art Blog got the inside scoop before hand!

People have been talking for a while about what Richmond’s identity should be and if it is this one thing or the other what will be the representative embodiment of that identity- what will it look like, yadda yadda… Well, Richmond, reread the title of this post.

Yes: THIS IS IT. Whether or not we want to be known as a cultural destination- specifically a destination for visual arts, after May 1st, Richmond is going to be recognized as a major player in the east coast (possibly even national) visual art world.

Review | Grace and Glorie is So Good You Forget it’s Acting

Yes, this is a review of the play Grace and Glorie, currently at Hanover Tavern. It is the Hanover Tavern part of that sentence that I want to focus on first. I’m probably going to get some side-eye for this, but I completely forgot Hanover Tavern existed. What in the...

Review | BLKS is a Mixed Bag at Richmond Triangle Players
