Art For The Rest Of Us! The G40 Group Show.

by | Mar 26, 2012 | ART

To borrow a line from our friends at WRIR 97.3FM Independent Radio, the G40 is bringing the low brow scene to Richmond for everyone to enjoy. Let the blue hairs have Picasso, this work is changing the world today. We have been talking murals, but the G40 Group Show might have an even bigger impact on the local scene. Its not an art show, but an art event.

Check this list.

Over 2000+ individual pieces, 500+ local and national artists represented, 20+ installations created for the show and The Weapons Of Mass Change exhibition spread across 5 locations on Broad Street for the April First Friday. Expect live music, mind blowing street art and other events for the whole month brought to you by the Art Whino crew.

We just took a tour of it and are seriously excited. Here are a few pics.

In 2005, I created RVA Magazine, and I'm still at the helm as its publisher. From day one, it’s been about pushing the “RVA” identity, celebrating the raw creativity and grit of this city. Along the way, we’ve hosted events, published stacks of issues, and, most importantly, connected with a hell of a lot of remarkable people who make this place what it is.
