Best of RVA Missed Connections 9/19/17-9/26/17

by | Sep 26, 2017 | WTF?!

In this week’s Missed Connections, one man solicits a companion to satisfy his foot fetish, while another applauds a stranger on the attractiveness of his date, sparks fly at the Adam Ant show, and two married women with “options” discuss the prevalence of cheating.

Foot fetish – m4w (Rva)

Hi!

Am a very fit, attractive male with a really strong foot fetish. I’d love to find an attractive, fit, dominant girl to have me worship her feet. I’ll pay you well and hopefully, we can male this a regular thing.

Please change the subject to something like ‘ Kiss my feet foot boy’ so I know you’re real. Thanks!

Adam Ant platonic “date” – m4w (The National)

You know who you are, but I mentioned you might, might, might be able to find a post here from the guy wearing the best shirt in the house. It was such a fun non-date date. I’m sorry you missed meeting the hot drummer with me. Hubby or not, I’d love to see you again over coffee, drinks, or Saturday night at the Broadberry at the Big Mama Shakes show and talk some smack. Even married chicks need friends. Hit me up. You know who.

Books-A-Million – m4w (Colonial Heights)

You were behind the coffee bar Monday 9-18-17. I was checking out and we made eye contact. I smiled and think you smiled back and waved or pointed. Was I mistaken? Would you like to talk?

What I can’t say – w4m (Williamsburg)

I wish things were different. I wish we weren’t tied down. I wish I could flirt with you instead of hiding my feelings and ending up acting aloof and nervous around you. You must know by now. I do wish I could turn it off. I try not to think about you but you pop into my head uncontrollably. I end up thinking about all the little things. The look in your eyes, little gestures. I wonder what you think about me. It’s all fruitless thought I suppose, although not completely, at least you make me smile.

You said you liked older men – m4w

I was waiting on a friend at Short Pump in the food court area and you were with a guy. You guys looked about the same age, maybe 18-20. I’m assuming you were out on a date because of the conversation. I heard him ask you why you weren’t interested in him and you said you were only attracted to older guys. We made eye contact a few times, and I wanted to introduce myself, but I felt it wasn’t the right place and time. How much older? I’m in my mid/late 30s. Would love to take you out.

How about that storm last night? – m4w (shortpump)

Came out of nowhere. It was fun being on the shore with you – waves lapping at the edge. Getting stronger and stronger with regular succession. I’ve always loved storms. So glad I got to experience another one with you.

El Patron Wednesday Afternoon – m4w (Chester)

You were in short, denim, shorts and a blue top. Your companion was a more mature, Hispanic gentleman. May i say, “Oh, my frickin GODDESS!!!!” to YOU, and “VERY well played, Sir. You are my role model” to HIM. Ever want a watcher or a clean up boy, let me know.

I Am a Woman and Like Most Women… I Cheat- w4m

This is a confession and something I’d like to share with men. I’m 32 years old, have two children and I’ve been married over ten years. You would never know I’m a cheater by looking at me but I have cheated more times than I can count. The worst part for men is that I represent most women. I’m confessing this because men don’t know just how bad it is. Men believe we are faithful and we would never in a million years cheat on you but your egos can’t handle the truth. Most married females I know cheat. We are much better at it because we aren’t compulsive. We plan it out. We know what day and how, even before the guy we are cheating on you with does. It doesn’t take much to convince a guy to have sex. Your wife has cheated and if she hasn’t, it may be because she’s not attractive to men. Remember this guys, women (more so than men) are as faithful as their options. You have no idea! I’m writing this partially out of guilt. I do feel somewhat badly about what I’ve done and will continue to do but not bad enough to stop. Like your wife or girlfriend, I enjoy a man craving me and I enjoy sex with someone better looking and more physically fit than my husband. For the record, size does matter. It truly does! We can be happy with 5-6 inches but women do love a thicker and longer penis. If you have smaller penis, you will be cheated on at some point.

No, most women don’t cheat. – w4mw (Rva)

No, most women don’t cheat. It’s just that you and your friends are terrible. First, why I’m on here. One of my friends gets missed connections frequently, and the posts directed at him are hilarious. I have never cheated on my man, and most of my female friends can say the same. Is he some Adonis? No, but I’m attracted to him and love him. Each night I go to sleep by his side, I can’t help but feel lucky. When we sit down together for dinner, I note how incredibly happy I am to be with him. Can I appreciate an attractive man? Sure, but I have no desire to sleep with anyone but my man. Now, I don’t believe monogamy is right for everyone. However, if it’s not right for you, you need to be honest with your partners, and also not be jealous if they have multiple partners as well. My long-term boyfriend and I are monogamous people. If you’re cheating, either speak with your partner about polyamory or swinging, or end the relationship. In either case, you need to disclose your betrayal. As an aside, this is coming from someone with plenty of “options.” My heart belongs fully to my partner, and I could never feel comfortable betraying him and sharing my body with another.

Men, most women aren’t cheaters. Those who do cheat are simply awful, and if they try to convince you it’s normal, they’re in denial.

The Light That Never Went Out

There is a spotlight still mounted in the rafters of 528 N. 2nd Street. It has been there since 1914. It has outlasted segregation, fire, the highway that cut Jackson Ward in two, and decades of silence. On the nights when the Hippodrome Theater fills up, that light...
