Virginia has experienced some ecological anomalies this summer: giant terror plants, an increase in snake reports, great white sharks off the coast, but now it has all come full circle with a report out of Virginia Beach this past week. According to Wavy TV 10, James Hopper had a rude awakening Thursday, when he strolled into the bathroom for his normal ablutions and discovered a snake swimming in the toilet bowl. He told Wavy TV 10 he thought it was a prank at first, until the scary serpent started flicking its forked tongue.
The story does not end there, however. After fishing the snake out of the toilet with his roommate, Hopper called animal control, who reported that this particular snake had been missing for weeks. Heartwarmingly, animal control was able to reunite this slithering nightmare with its owner on Friday. The snake has been identified as a ball python, estimated to be about three feet long.
