Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

We’ve got new beer releases, Virginia Craft Beer Month news and more so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

This whole weekend Hardywood will host an IPA Hop Harvest. Please bring your freshly picked hops separated & labeled by varietal (Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus). The taproom staff will be prepared to receive hops and record contributor’s signatures to be included on a limited edition Hardywood RVA IPA poster featuring their new label art, and email addresses to be sure you are included in their yearly Hop Grower’s Social and Pre-release Tasting on Friday, September 9th.

The release date for 2016 RVA IPA is Saturday, September 10! Stay tuned for additional details!

Garden Grove in Carytown will host a beer dinner Mon. Aug. 22 with the Rogue Gentleman. Five courses of seasonal new american cuisine will be matched with five of their brews in the comfortable, casual setting of our taproom. Farm-to-Table, Barrel-to-Glass. $38.

Isley Brewing will host a collaboration beer release with local bluegrass band South Hill Banks this weekend. They will release Travelin’ Home Pale Ale and Each Travelin’ Home beer purchase will get you a free download of the South Hill Banks single Travelin’ Home.

Ardent Craft Ales will release a Brett Saison this Saturday. It’s a funky, fruity, and earthy beer.

Many of our favorite local breweries took home awards from this year’s Virginia Craft Brewers Guild recently. Midnight, Hardywood, Strangeways, and The Answer all took home awards for their brews. Check out all the winners in our post here.

Steam Bell continues their Randall series with one of their flagships Patchronce on Thursday. Its a light bodied Belgian brewed with Blue Bee Cider’s blackberries and raspberries and tomorrow they will add some rosemary to the mix.

Steam Bell Beer Works will release Southern Hospitality, a 6.4% rye pale ale fermented over fresh pineappl on Saturday. Small batch!
