Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

We’ve got new beer releases, special holiday and seasonal brews, and special events for to take your mind off politics so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

This Saturday, Center of the Universe will release Dos Duderinos and a Variant Gift Pack. The Ashland brewery will release an Imperial version of El Duderino and four barrel aged variants of Dos Duderinos including Red wine barrel aged, Bourbon barrel aged, Aged with cocoa nibs and coconut, Aged in bourbon barrel with coffee. Tickets are $65 which gets you the gift pack.

This Friday, Buskey Cider is hosting a Pints and Pics plus a toy drive to benefit Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN). Maelyn Cable from Richmond Camera will be taking holiday pictures with a suggested $10 donation, which will go toward the non-profit. Bring a toy to donate and get half off your pint.

Triple Crossing’s Fulton Hill location is coming along nicely! Check out the cool picture below of the brewery and be on the lookout for a story on them in an upcoming print issue of RVA Magazine.

The Doppler Effect is back at Final Gravity. This all Mosaic hopped IPA won’t last long so go try some as soon as you can!

On Saturday, Steam Bell Beer Works will release Fred’s Ambrosia,a 9.2%
Belgian Tripel fermented with orange peel and maple toasted coconut chips.

Ardent Craft Ales will release their imperial milk stout this Saturday.

Speaking of milk stouts, head over to Stone Brewing and check out their Mint Coffee Milk Stout

Garden Grove Brewing Company will host their monthly beer dinner on Mon. Dec. 19. This time, the five course, five beer pairing event will feature local restaurant Dutch & Co. Cost of the dinner is $38 plus tip and tax. Get tickets here.

This Saturday, Strangeways Brewing will do a double beer release. For you hardcore craft beer drinkers, the brewery will release Ape Armageddon Kentucky Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (11%) and Ape Armageddon Brandy Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (11%).

Hardywood will release its Kentucky Christmas Morning on Saturday. This is one of their Gingerbread Stout variants, aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels with locally roasted coffee beans.

Kindred Spirit Brewing in Goochland will release two new beers this weekend. Along with their normal cast of 10+ delicious brews, the brewery will release Session IPA and Winter Belsnickle. Food and live music.
