Tapped: Triple Crossing Fulton location opens and RVA Mag’s beer collab release with Broadberry, Three Notch’d & No BS!

Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

We’ve got new beer releases, special holiday and seasonal brews, and special events for to take your mind off politics so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

So two big things going on are a new brewery opening and another beer collab involving yours truly!

Triple Crossing is finally opening their second production facility in Fulton Hill and it looks sick! The brewpub, located at 5203 Hatcher St, will open this Friday, and features two 20ft communal tables spray painted by local artist Matt Betts and an 80×15 mural on one wall painted by local muralist Mickael Broth. Triple Crossing has partnered with Billy Fallen, of RVA’s BIlly Bread who will be cooking up Neapolitan-style pizza.

Triple Crossing’s Fulton location features a 20bbl brewhouse with 40bbl fermenters according to their news release on their site. The brewpub will give the brewers the ability to produce significantly more their popular brands such as Falcon Smash IPA, Nectar and Knife DIPA and Clever Girl IPA. This location’s size will also allow them start a barrel storage program which is already underway. Hours at the new location will be Tues-Thurs 4-10p, Fri-Sat 12-10p and Sun 12-8p.

The brewery will release 16oz 4-packs of Clever Girl IPA for the first time ever as well as our flagship Falcon Smash IPA in cans on Friday at noon.

The planned opening day draft list includes: Element 79 Golden Ale, Paranoid Aledroid Pale Ale, OTC Pilsner, Seasonal Shift Saison, Falcon Smash IPA, Citra Dry Hopped Falcon Smash IPA, Clever Girl IPA (also available for the first time ever in 4pk 16oz cans, Double Dry Hopped Clever Girl IPA, Battle Creek DIPA, Bourbon Soaked Udderly Beautiful Milk Stout.

Now onto on a new beer collab featuring RVA Magazine! Recently, we collaborated on a beer with Three Notch’d Brewing’s RVA Collab House, The Broadberry and No BS! Brass Band to make the No BS! Cream Ale. The brew will be released this Friday at The Broadberry coinciding with NO BS!’s annual canned food drive to benefit FeedMore. For every beer poured, $1 will be donated to FEEDmore. Doors at 8p // Show at 9p $10 ADV // $15 DOS. $8 ADV with canned goods // $10 DOS with canned goods. Read our story on it here.

This Saturday, Strangeways Brewing will have a double release, this Saturday featuring Ape Armageddon Tequila Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (11%) and Ape Armageddon Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (11%) Both available on draft and in 750ml bottles.

Hardywood has Kentucky Christmas Morning and a limited supply of GBS and Rum GBS available in bottles to go so get it while you can! On Thursday, they are also releasing a pin of Candy Cane GBS.

On Saturday, Isley will do a re-release of Boozy Mother, their bourbon barrel peanut butter porter.

Lickinghole Creek will release “Redneck Wedding,” their 13.2% Bourbon Barrel Belgian-Style Quadrupel Ale, starting this Friday and going through the whole weekend.

Stone Brewing recently released their highly-anticipated first local beer collaboration with Gov. McAuliffe, Ardent Craft Ales and Hardywood on Monday. The Give Me Stout or Give me Death is a 9.5& dark brew made with local raspberries and blackberries and Belma hops.

On Saturday, Ardent Craft Ales will release their Wild Ale with cherries. The brew was aged our saison in red wine barrels with a blend of four brettanomyces strains, and later cherry puree.

Garden Grove Brewing Company is hosting their December Taproom beer dinner this Monday, Dec. 19 and theres still time to reserve your spot! The dinner will feature five courses prepared by he chefs of Dutch&Co. paired with five of GG’s craft brews. $38 plus tax and tip. Tickets here.
