We all love our craft beer here in RVA and in Virginia and more and more people are starting to notice us for craft breweries.

We all love our craft beer here in RVA and in Virginia and more and more people are starting to notice us for craft breweries. I don’t think I have to keep saying that anytime we receive any recognition or accolades outside the state because it’s a given at this point.

This time the attention comes from Men’s Journal. The publication released a list of the 101 Best Beers in America and Hardywood Park Craft Brewery’s Christmas Morning brew made the list.

The brew is an imperial milk stout with spices and locally roasted Mexican Chiapas coffee beans from local coffee company Black Hand Coffee Co.

Here’s what Men’s Journal had to say about Hardywood’s Christmas Morning:

“Hardywood Park brews a phenomenal imperial milk stout with honey and ginger called Gingerbread Stout. If you ever see it, buy it immediately. While it’s worthy of adoration, the Richmond, Virginia, brewery goes a step further with a small batch of the stout, aging it with Mexican coffee beans roasted just down the road for Christmas Morning — perhaps the perfect beer to provide comfort amid the stress of the holidays — morning, noon, or night.”

Devil’s Backbone Brewing Company’s in Roseland, Va. Vienna Lager also made the list. Check the entire list of brews here.
