As we found out in the the classic baseball flick “Field of Dreams”, “If you build it, they will come.”

We’ll see if that’s the case with the RVA Field of Dreams Fest that will be held at Altria Theater this Friday.

The festival will feature craft beer, local food and live music from funk/R&B singer Charles Bradley, blues crooner Black Joe Lewis and RVA’s rock and roll group The Congress.

RVA Field of Dreams Fest is being put on by the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Richmond International Raceway and Barton Malow, a construction company whose foundation donates time and proceeds to different charities. Proceeds from this festival will go to benefit inner city youth baseball and STEM learning opportunities.

Along with some grub and live tunage, they’ve got a pretty good craft beer lineup. Festival attendees will have the chance to sample brews from Legends, Ardent Craft Ales, Lickinghol Creek, Devils Backbone, Isley Brewing, Hardywood, Bold Rock, Center of the Universe, Strangeways, along with wine from James River Cellars and New Kenty Winery.

Check out the music that you’ll be jamming to at the fest:
