Isley is having an Oyster Fest this Friday, Feb. 5 with $1 Rappahannock River oysters from 6-8 pm. The event goes from 4- 10 pm. Oysters? Beer? Yes Please!

Also on Friday Isley will release another of its infusions, Blackberry Bribe Oatmeal Porter. And of course, on Sunday they will have a Super Bowl watch party at the brewery.

On Sat. Feb. 6, Hardywood will release its Rasberry Stout, a chocolate stout made with VA raspberries. Think of a rasberry truffle in liquid form!

Strangeways will host a Super Bowl pregame party this Sun. at 11 am. There will be live music, a food truck, beermosas, and their newest release, the Hinterlander Barleywine.

Ardent Craft Ales will release its Batch 100 this Sat. Feb. 6. Batch 100 is a SMaSH (Single Malt and Single Hop) English style pale ale.

Many local breweries got a little pat on the back from RateBeer.com this week. The beer site recently had their “Best” festival and a few RVA breweries including Hardywood, Strangeways, and The Answer took home some awards. Check that article out here.

Starr Hill was so kind to send us some of their latest brews to try The Reviver Red IPA that was very refreshing and the Little Red Roostarr Coffee Cream Stout which is a coffee lover’s dream! Check out our full review here.
